- In pairs (1.1); males strictly separated. The reason: several males fight over territory and the basking spot until one is injured or sits permanently in a corner. Two females usually do not get along in the long run either: one occupies the basking spot, the other sits in a corner and loses weight — usually without a single visible bite wound.
Notes
The male is a brilliant turquoise blue with a blue dewlap – one of the most colourful anoles. Very active; it needs height and daily misting, and drinks only droplets from leaves.
