- Pairs (1.1); males are strongly territorial and must not be kept together. The reason: several males fight over territory and the basking spot until one is injured or sits permanently in a corner. Two females do not get along in the long run either: one takes the basking spot while the other sits in a corner and wastes away — usually without a single visible bite wound. One male with several females is therefore not a good choice.
Notes
A larger, territorial tree anole – it needs a well-structured, planted tall terrarium. Diurnal, and not tame to the hand.
